Homeschool Memo Board and More!

I made a memo board this week to help me see some some of my plans, especially for Lila, to do during the week.  I do my menu planning on a dry erase board, and it works well.  So, I am hoping that this helps me focus on some of the crazier days.

We had fun at our homeschool swim time!

This week I sat down with the older two to talk about lesson plans for February.  Mara will be finishing up Mystery of History Vol 2 and her Chemistry book.  We'll move into The Mystery of History Volume 3 (VOLUME 3), and she will start Exploring Creation with Physical Science.  We were going to put that off until next year but have decided to go ahead and start it now.  Kyle will be finishing his Economics and Spanish in February.  His big focus will be on writing for these last couple of high school months!

Lila is having a hard time focusing on anything besides her birthday right now (which is next week).  Oh, how she loves birthdays.  February is our month of birthdays with extended family:  6, followed by 4 in early March.

  1. Awesome memo board! We have a large white board in our school room (i.e. diningroom) with our daily assignments, weekly activities and sometimes even a chore list and dinner menu. It makes our days more productive and smoother!

  3. The memo board turned out well--I just made a menu board the same way. Our birthday month is coming as well. We have three kids birthdays within two weeks.

  4. I'm visiting from the Hip Homeschool Hop. Do you just write with dry erase on the glass in a frame? I love this and plan to try it. Thanks!
