March Scattered Gifts - Vision Trust

We collected our change for Shoes for Orphan Souls last month.
For March, we decided to give money to support a friend of my daughter's who is taking a mission trip to Guatemala.  We will look forward to hearing all about it when she returns.

I also thought I would share about an organization that works in Guatemala, as well as Liberia - Vision Trust.  We sponsor a child through them - a girl named Omekial who lives in Liberia.  Some day hopefully we can take a mission trip to Liberia maybe with Vision Trust.  Their mission is to develop orphaned and neglected children into mature Christians equipped to live in their own culture. They do this by enabling Christian nationals to meet the physical, educational, emotional and spiritual needs of these children.  Their projects include safe water, education, food and health, spiritual mentorship, and more.  They work in about 14 different countries.  They also offer mission trips.

This is part of our Scattered Gifts mission of our family. As we learn about different organizations, maybe God will lead us to give to some on a regular basis, go on a mission trip, or who knows what God will have us do!

Would you like to join us each month? Do you have organizations we can learn more about? I will be posting at the beginning of each month what our project will be. Some months we will be learning about more than one.

Past months:
January - Sweet Sleep
February -  Shoes for Orphan Souls

I'd love to hear about ways other families are giving and serving!
