Summer Clutter - where I've been!

Popsicles on the front step were a favorite!
Wow, I haven't posted since July!  I guess it was all I could do to keep up with summer and enter into the fall season.  Hopefully we will "fall" into our routine now, and I will be able to have some quiet moments to reflect, plan, ponder, and think!  I felt I hardly had time to think the last several months.  I could only think about the "urgent," as I've heard said.  God has been good in helping us handle the important and best as well.  His blessings abound even in our clutter.  I am hoping to pray the clutter in my life away that I let pile up by not giving it to God and trusting Him.  I hope to focus better - I want to see and hear him more clearly again.  I want to be quick to listen and obey His leadings without figuring out the details.

I got an "chain email" this week asking me to share a life verse.  There are many verses that God uses over and over in my life, but I guess the consistent one is Proverbs 3:5,6:  "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  Acknowledge the Lord in all of your ways, and He will make you path straight."  I usually sing this in my head since I learned it as a VBS song years ago.  I also like the version that says, in all your ways submit to Him.  It's funny how your heart and head can know and believe this verse, but you still wrestle with God over some things.  I think God shows us more of himself sometimes when we wrestle, and we learn how His ways are the best and how He provides.  But this summer I think I wrestled too long when God wanted me to give up - so along came the "clutter," as I am going to call it.

God is always good, and He blessed our summer in many, many ways.  I'll share some of the favorites in the next few days.
